Title: Another year down the shitter, now with Long Island Ice Tea
Post by: Doug on June 20, 2009, 07:13:18 PM: Well hit the big 25 today. What a waste, another year closer to death. Getting older sucks, quit getting money and shit; instead a hug/hand shake and a happy birthday.

So decided some drinks were in order, but fuck $6+ tax a piece at Applebees.

First you need the stuff to make the sweet and sour mix.

Next take 1 cup of water and two cups of sugar. Bring to a boil and let boil about 5 min. In the mean time cut up some lemons and limes and juice them. I used 2 lemons and 2 limes and got 3/4 cup of juice.

Once the simple syrup has cooled a min mix in the juice. I put mine in a jar and then put the jar in a bowl full of ice to cool it quickly.

Next you need the liqra. Vodka, Rum, Gin, and Triple Sec. Some people add tequila, I personally think it taste like a ash tray so I didn't. (plus Applebees doesn't and thats what I was going for)

Now take 1/2 oz of each liquor and put it in a glass to mix. Add in 1.5-3oz of sweet and sour too your taste. I like 1.5 oz so it isn't too sweet. Throw in some ice and shake/stir. Top off with some Coca-Cola (again to taste) and enjoy!

I stopped caring back when I was around 13. I get older, big whoop. If people don't notice me or care to tell me nice things any other day of the year, why should my bday be any more important?

Tried them once, only 1.3G (all that was left), I just got anxious and some trailing. Tasted like ass, but after the story from him and my other friend on them not sure I want a all out trip.
