Title: RHMT RECIPE: apple/bannana/creame baklava
Post by: buk9tp on June 22, 2009, 01:16:34 AM
shit that's easy to make and tastes great.

shit you will need
filo dough (uhhh its a Greek thing so you can buy it at just about any foreign store.. pretty sure meijers carries it)
apple sauce (or if you want it to taste 100x better make your own like i did just cut and peel apples boil them add cinnamon and sugar to taste)
1 stick of butter
1 can of table creme (walmart sells it)
bananas

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg132.imageshack.us%2Fimg132%2F3381%2F20090621233749.jpg&hash=4ea1e38821fd0204571d768fecb2455c7333c3fe)

stick of butter in bowl and microwave to melt
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg191.imageshack.us%2Fimg191%2F6025%2F20090621233823.jpg&hash=2e4639b36845ccd427ffcdc2abcea948fa725864)

fold back the butter wrapper to use as a brush

every layer will require 3 teaspoons of butter. so drip 3 teaspoons then spread it out on the pan
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg195.imageshack.us%2Fimg195%2F9640%2F20090621234102.jpg&hash=f55480540ba34b0a91b040b465a607da0ae8e6e7)

remove 3 sheets and place on the pan then butter and brush the butter

next layer same
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg514.imageshack.us%2Fimg514%2F8296%2F20090621234650.jpg&hash=1c2ae5ceefee4f114c13f2395728b7fc314fc4f5)

next layer same

next layer same (you can use 2 or 3 or 4 sheets per layer)
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg44.imageshack.us%2Fimg44%2F2197%2F20090621234844.jpg&hash=1405ac36a9196d8c47d1ef3e74a4bd0193e79be7)

dump down apple sauce or homemade apple sauce like i did
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg132.imageshack.us%2Fimg132%2F6762%2F20090621235136.jpg&hash=f4cc3d544092f66e52049a8d5e4b05284ec0a981)

thin long slices of bananas
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg191.imageshack.us%2Fimg191%2F1164%2F20090621235505.jpg&hash=4ad3e12d7181f206b3579ba07b661fecb63b5359)

then dump the table creme..
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg193.imageshack.us%2Fimg193%2F5627%2F20090621235550.jpg&hash=3c24ea5ef2fa198e96f9d0baa4fcd1676f416b52)

next layer butter/spread
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg196.imageshack.us%2Fimg196%2F4617%2F20090621235802.jpg&hash=59d567c5bc2a916e8aaf0aaf686b2c8f26021905)

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg196.imageshack.us%2Fimg196%2F6690%2F20090622000041.jpg&hash=eedca65d4d52b77e108b6657e68b09d5f39e2b3c)

when your done dump the rest of the butter on top and work it into the corners and sides of the pan..
it looks like alot but its only one stick and uhhh this is enough for 6 people so when you think about it its not really alot
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg193.imageshack.us%2Fimg193%2F4413%2F20090622000312.jpg&hash=3c76b7c57d9e55e18b6bd7498b7b349942a1735a)

this is the sugar syrup shit (basically just bring water to a boil in a small pot and keep adding sugar till it wont dissolve anymore and let it simmer but don't let it burn.. let that shit cool down and you got a sweet syrup)
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg197.imageshack.us%2Fimg197%2F6016%2F20090622003053.jpg&hash=6036a696e227fc03759fe342782ed21ec7e4fa4e)

dump it on top (can use honey if you want)
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg265.imageshack.us%2Fimg265%2F6195%2F20090622003031.jpg&hash=9635f044b024f41ceecf8f33acd98ef3861f89e6)

cut into pieces and enjoy (something i always forget to do is cut it BEFORE you put it into the oven.. but for me it doesn't make a difference... meh) it might look like shit because i didnt prop the plate up or arrange the pieces but if you don't like the way it looks then fuck you
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg30.imageshack.us%2Fimg30%2F8564%2F20090622003426.jpg&hash=15eab98b78c8417f6d19024cb234f5980f85a70f)

I HAVE A SLANT BRAKE....  Just tested it against the RPK style muzzle brake:

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.blackjackbuffers.com%2Fimages%2FAK-RPK.jpg&hash=d4da2ff3cc7b331542dc346e0fa99bc765137cc8)

The RPK works wayyyy better, but doesnt look as good IMHO. The non symmetric design of the slantbrake makes it overcompensate in my comparing them...

My groups were much more consistant and muzzle climb was notably less with the rpk style brake.

Just fo yo info

+1 I asked the wife to make this for me, but she couldn't find the dough locally to us.

Anyone know if there is something else that can be used???
