Title: anyone here know anything about ipod touches?

So i was given an ipod touch to play around with. One of my friends semi bricked it while trying to jailbreak it and now it wont charge to restore it and it boots to a pic of some dude and some russian text lol. I also managed to make the screen not work anymore when i took it apart to see if it would restore if i applied voltage to the battery leads. Any ideas on how to fix it?

you can't brick apple devices, but you probably fried the board with voltage.
