Title: yuriy's bmw failure thread
Post by: c0mpl3x on June 29, 2009, 04:55:34 AM
so after his rad hose breaks at the pvc pipe coolant temp adapter and he overheats it, we swapped a new jy motor

runs fine, but there is a miss like a cross-fire from another coil wire (but it's coilpack)

fuel/timing does nothing to correct it, and his lm2 definitely reads 2x.x at idle despite calibrating

we changed plugs and coilpacks in case his 1994 coilpacks were damaged, or had a cracked plug, it ran fine for 10secs then right back to popping like a dizzy half a turn off on plug wires.  this popping/backfire is only at idle

he is now driving 400 miles back to his house

who wants to start a yuriy deathpool thread?

Letting the smoke out of any electrical component is never a good thing.

Wiring especially after a fire is always sketchy at best

It's already run longer than anything c0mpl3x has ever fielded, regardless of threads he makes poking fun at yuriy's expense.

Well I got back in at 4am in case Tim and Jon were wondering, big props to my man robin who almost passed out and wrecked at 11pm so a real man had to drive till 4... showered shaved dressed and was in the office by 7am. Last night of full sleep : last tuesday. Wed to tonight = a total of <20 hours of sleep, including 24 straight hours of working on the bmw before discovering aids is incurable.

Oh, my cellphone is somewhere, like my lawn, robins car, or a truck stop, so attempts to contact me (perhaps in regard to shipping muhammmmmmeds package) are pointless.

It's German. The only thing they're good for is BEER. Any other success they have is a drunken failure.
