Title: What Cell phone to buy
Post by: fork on June 30, 2009, 10:43:11 PM
So my Motorola Q9C decided to brake the same week that I have to buy furniture to furnish a whole house and move, yay.  So I need to buy a new phone, but luckily I am eligible to get the rebates and all that shit.  So what should I buy, I'm thinking the Palm pre or the HTC snap.  They are both a little spendy at 150 and 200 but everything else seemed kind of shitty.  I don't want something that will break and I want something that will surf the interweb well.  This is all for sprint btw, and I'm staying because I'm on the employee plan and get pretty much unlimited everything for 60 a month.

If by employee plan you mean sero, then you can't keep it if you get a pre.

No option with a slide-out keyboard?

Between the two I'd personally probably go with the Pre...if I had to choose from those two.  I don't care for those tiny keyboards, but touchscreen is nice and WinMo never seemed as smooth as any of the newer smart phone OSes...

Hmmm I do have sero, I thought0 I saw something about that on sprintusers.com or something, but I couldn't find any details care to elaborate?

If there are other good options I'm open.  The WinMo on my Q9C was pretty shitty, but the OS on the snap seemed pretty quick, and the web browser seemd way better than my current phone.

Based on his phone choices and comments above, he has Sprint.

Thus, your iphone can fuck itself :-*

Not much to elaborate. You have to sign a new contract if you get a Pre, and you can't keep your sero plan.

You have to go to an "unlimited" plan.  This is Sprint's way of clearing out all the cheap ass plans we all had.  You can't even activate a Pre without a new plan.  I would have just paid the $500 for one, I would have saved the money on the plan within 6 months.
