Title: Engineering is fun :P
Post by: bmcrace on July 01, 2009, 03:06:20 AM
Ok I think I am finally done with plenum and stack design

I am raising the stacks in the plenum so to reduce the overall distance from the tip of the plenum to the head so to fit it in smaller cars better.

Will be standard flanged for 90mm throttle body but can be switched for 105mm throttle body also ;)

Im still having a hard time with the fact you actually sold this piece of shit to someone.

Its a shame you never contacted me or anything about this, had you done so I am sure we could have worked something out.

BTW tubular manifolds bend and conform very easily and will seal off on the head just fine, and after several heat cycles the pipes will normalize to that postion and remain the the shape from there on out..

spoken like a true scammer.

take some fucking pride in your work, don't send out products that look like complete ass.

i've never seen a weir manifold go out like that.

Its funny how one day you dont give a fuck about your customers and then after loosing a few jobs and blowing a bunch of money on crack your back trying to sell shit to your old customers again. What goes around comes around, leave the fab work to your dad, and kill your self off.

By the way if you have started to pay attention people are making huge #'s here and its not on stock top end parts Sir.

Also an intake manifold is meant to match a cylinder head so on a stock head or your typical ported head a manifold like this will

A. Lose throttle response
B.Torque
c.Shift power curve in the wrong direction

Anyway, that IM design is junk.  That's innovative placement of the velocity stacks to keep flow from disrupting the adjacent stacks, but each one is shrouded by the side of the IM it is angled toward.

Vizard published practically everything he deduced about flow (and other aspects) 40 years ago and did so in a manner that could be understood easily by your average intelligent gearhead.  Never read the first issue of Hotrod, huh, or taken a non-primadonna attitude to applied theory and design aka reading up on what your betters did before you?

James, take your bullshit back to H-T. You were contacted many times on that manifold and basically told the guy tough shit and to get fucked. I had to cut that pile of shit apart and put a new flange on it. Plus I had to finish welding the collector you neglected to weld.

If you think you are going to start drumming business here you are wrong. Aaron and Corey do most of mani slinging here and they actually take pride in their work. DIAF.

That's because you're a n00b.  James and his pops have serious issues with taking orders and filling them in a reasonable amount of time.  If you have a project you want done in 2 years, order from James and you'll meet your deadline.  If you want something in 4-6 weeks, find someone else.
Title: Re: Engineering is fun :P

His dad sells the flanges, and is legit.  He gets a shadow cast on him for his son's nonsense, and while he enables his boy to act in the manner he has then maybe that shadow is deserved.

The son needs to exhibit some shame, tuck his tail and walk away from the car scene.  If he has skills then exert them somewhere else because if he doesn't do something that indicates he's learned from his mistakes then false once will prove false again... and arguing about a manifold he refused to warranty, as well as no defense for why he lagged or proof that he paid EVERYONE he scammed back , is a pretty big indication he hasn't learned shit.

Sad, really.

Joseph, look back a year or so ago.  People were having a hard time getting small orders from Sam.  The excuse was that he had to take care of the bigger customers and guys buying 10 flanges at a time were not enough of a priority to get flanges in a reasonable amount of time.

I always thought Sam was a relatively stand up guy, but I don't agree with taking orders from people and then not hitting delivery dates.  That's BS.
