Title: Stealth Shuttle running
Post by: Stealthmode on July 06, 2009, 10:03:19 PM
First Startup (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7SMn7eN2RI#lq-lq2-hq-vhq)

The only problem is dropping the key back from start to run it cuts off. If I hold the key in start and pull the starter signal at the right time, it'll keep running. Think it's a problem with the key cylinder, other than the three fat ignition wires having power throughout all of that, I don't know what else to check.

I may have found the issue. When hard wiring the walbro to the holder thingy it was grounding out, leading me to think my stock fuel pump wire wasn't getting power. Direct wired it to one of the auxilary fuse outputs that seemed to have the correct voltage throughout the key positions, and then found the grounded pump, left it hard wired.

Checking the now good stock fuel wiring, it seems to have an odd on/off range throughout key positions that the hard wire didn't have. I've now switched it to stock wire, and am waiting for the battery to charge to see if it'll run.

The odd on/off range could be from the main fuel relay.

Ok, stock wiring works. I think my basemap is way rich though, because starting it with the fuel pump on it won't start, but pulling the fuel pump wiring the car will idle for 5 minutes. Either there's way too much fuel called for on the map, or there's a demon living inside the engine.

Check your fuel pressure first, if that's fine then look at your basemap.

Tomorrow we're having a bbq. I just have to wire up the headlights and put a throttle cable on it. It'll be on the dyno this week.
