car runs like a top but throws a code for the bank1 sensor1 o2 heater circuit which generally means the sensor is dead. This one is the one that is a BITCH to get to, and because my car has CA emissions standards its hard as fuck to even find the proper sensor. This is a pre cat sensor, can I just get a universal bosch or denso and wire it in? has blue grey and 2 black wires imo.

If it's wired properly you should be able to pass the emission test.
A Toyota dealership can get you the right sensor, but it might take a day or two for you to get it. If you decide to go this route, make sure you have the VIN number when placing the order.
not to mention pricey
Dig around ebay junkyards for a used one

as best I can tell that one is not CA emissions friendly
-
Fuck california.
-
that is precisely the thought on my mind. After it passes inspection once I am converting it to non cali emissions aka jon-fab exhaust lol and ripping out every sensor that wont throw a code. Fucking garbage commies.
