Title: Who watched that POS Obongo Press Conference...
Post by: dtrain on July 23, 2009, 03:29:23 AM
This press conference was the pulling down of the pants and bending you over. Question is, can Americans recover quick enough from their shock before their elected officials insert "the long arm of Congressional law."

That is all

He should have squashed that question like a bug. i thought the point of the press conference was about the health care. Not some dumb ass who had a run in with the police. oh and guess what got the media going....  :?:

explain why anyone cares, or how it should have been covered at that time?

I didn't watch the press conference, I didn't know he spent a bunch of time talking about an isolated incident like that. I don't think the professor is stupid at all but yea not a big subject for Obama to tackle

it was his "i'll take one more question before i go"  so he only really spent liek 30 sec. talking about the guy.

There was 2 cops there arresting the professor, and guess what one was black, and the other had taught racial sensitivity courses at the police academy for the past 5 years.

Normally you don't arrest someone when they can yank out an ID that ID's them as the owner of the property.  This is why all police officers should have helmet cameras and dash cameras.  That way we can review their actions and make sure they are in line.

As for health care, we're fucked.  I have health insurance through my employer but I'm too stupid to actually use it for anything.  Not to mention $25/40 co-pay isn't a great deal.

Here is a brief summary of the 2-day "fly-in" to Capitol Hill  Tuesday and Wednesday, asking our US Representatives and Senators to vote "NO" on Socialized Medicine/National Health Care.  Contrary to what the President said last night on TV, the reality on the Hill is that there is virtually no chance of killing this bill only slight modifications they are willing to make to it. The most devastating part of this bill is the issue called, "public option".  The public option is the absolute CORE of National Health Care.  This option will force small employers and a great deal of larger employers to cut employees, go out of business, or force their employees into the "public option" when in reality there will be no option at all.

My husband and I lived in this type of health care in the European Union and it is a first class disaster.  The most vulnerable people in a government run system are the people that get sick!  The young and old or people in the middle with chronic or incurable conditions quickly lose access.  That's the reason why people in other countries will sell their houses and make life-altering adjustments to get the money to come to the US to access state-of-the-art health care.

The second issue I learned about yesterday is the issue that is pure socialism and NEVER works; it is called "price-fixing". The Government would set the price at which reimbursement would be paid for a patient's care.  For example, the bureaucrats in Washington, DC would decide how much you will pay for an office call to your doctor, for a CT scan if you need one, an MRI, or a hospital stay.  As a legislator, I can tell you that the government has been up to $10 million dollars in default to our local hospitals right here in Michiana and our entire coalition of elected officials go and fight to get their money, and that's ONLY to pay for the back log in Medicaid payments.  Forcing all Americans on to a government run system that has not adequately run ANY health program efficiently is an impending nightmare.

Thirdly, we all know there is no such thing as "free" health care....nothing is free. This program has a price tag of more than $1.5 trillion dollars.  One Congressman told me yesterday that he was excited about trimming $1 billion dollars off of that $1 trillion dollar price tag...sorry, but there is a long way to go between a billion and a trillion and it will have to be paid for in tax dollars.  We cannot afford "free" health care.

I left there yesterday with a sense that, unless the American people rise up and say, "no way"...this is going to pass in some type of modified form.   This certainly isn't a partisan, political issue, this is about our families and our own lives.  I implore you to pass this email around, call or email your congressman/senators and tell them to vote NO...not to modify the bill but to vote NO and start over.

If you have questions about this issue for me, email me back and I will get you an answer.  I don't want to see the lives of Hoosiers and Americans jeopardized over an "experiment" that hasn't worked in any country...let alone the greatest country on the face of the earth!

Please call today and keep calling.

Thank you!

Jackie Walorski
Indiana State Representative
District 21

Voting against congress finally making your tax dollars provide something for you is not wise.  We're going to have socialized health care.  What people should focus on is making sure congress doesn't completely fuck up the ground work.

You get on your congressman or senators website and send them an email. Its pretty simple. Lots of other issues going around right now other than healthcare.

Look into cap and trade...if cap and trade doesn't start a revolution, nothing will.

Or you can do what I did and drive your ass down to there office, walk in and start bitching....with solid points about shit thats going on.

Frank, currently the insurance companies set the prices on what doctors are paid.  Not a fair trade market.  The system is already irrevocably fucked and I don't see a whole lot of difference in that one respect, although I agree with your representative's other points.

I heard he showed him his harvard ID which doesn't have an address on it. Maybe I'm wrong.

Eitherway he's a dipshit for spouting off to the cops about racism and all that shit. Just prove you live there and let them leave. end of story.

Voting against congress finally making your tax dollars provide something for you is not wise.  We're going to have socialized health care.  What people should focus on is making sure congress doesn't completely fuck up the ground work.

Something many americans already have? There is no fucking way this will be deficit neutral. It's not our tax dollars now either, they have to come up with more money to fund this somehow.

deficit neutral was the idea behind lots of other government programs like the ponzi scheme that social security is. But that's in debt now too. They might make health care deficit neutral now, but what bout 5 and ten years from now?

You are correct.

A neighbor reported a break in. Guy inside refuses to show a state-issued ID with his Addy on it to prove he lived there. He became hostile.

He deserved to be arrested.

all cops are criminals... pirates... extortionists...

civil actions (complaints filed for traffic violations) without victims are UNCONSTITUTIONAL. the statutes are bogus.

traffic courts are kangaroo courts created for one purpose: to tax you.

so the fact that we live with this now is your justification for it?

do you know what corpus delicti is? do you know what the elements of a cause of action are? i'll help you, 1 of them is "specific injury".
Title: Re: Who watched that POS Obongo Press Conference...
Post by: Ntrain2k on July 29, 2009, 02:19:16 PM
Yes I do.

I also realize that if some laws were not in place, the chance of "specific injury" to innocent people would greatly increase. Lets hear you defend it when one of your family is in the hospital or dead because laws like speed limits are unjust.

You are a fucking anarchist. Everything you say and every argument you make shows it.

Like I said, your reality is much different then mine.
