Since when did any alcoholic care about how many calories are in their favorite beer/liquor?

Flying Dog isn't bad, though every ale I've tried from them leaves kind of a harsh acidity in the aftertaste.

Not too bad, but leaves much to be desired. Then again I really don' t like Pale Ale.

I've only tried 2 beers I think over the 8% mark and both had such a strong alcohol flavor it sorta killed the beer for me. I wanna try the flying dog I've heard good things about it

That stuff is damn near barley wine.  I've had it once... I'll stick to the 90 minute, good stuff.

That's not a bad idea, Guinness + a shot of chilled espresso would be delicious.

Ice cream floats using Guinness are also delicious, as is Guinness stew.  Mmmmm.

Ug.  You can keep your nasty charcoal beer.

Straight liquor is good for your heart.  Dont believe the Surgeon General's lies.

That's becuase the majority of the alchohol comes from the calories.  The way to get a low calorie beer is to take the alchohol out of it.  That's why I laugh at these "lightest beer ever" commercials becuase people don't realize what they are taking out of the beer to take out the calories

There are barley wines that are 8 percent alcohol.  The 120 minute is way past that.   It doesn't taste like IPA, it doesn't even really taste like beer.  I think its closer to like a brandy but its not distilled.  Its an experience, but I wouldn't drink more than one.

90 minute IPA is one of my favorites, got one chillin in the fridge now.  I had a founders dirty bastard scotch ale and a bells third coast olde ale tonight, as well as a great lake saison which was terrible.  So bad that I dumped it, I think that was the third beer in my life that was so bad I dumped it, I'd rather drink bud light.
