So anyways i put a timing light on my civic (D16A6) the other day and with the evil hondata in set timing mode i could only get the arrows on my timing cover to line up with the single far mark, should it be on any of the 3 lines in the group? I havent driven the car like this yet, but turned it over by hand and ran it with the light. Did i put the belt on a tooth out or something? Thanks guys
And why not some tits and snap

All stock

then you did right. the single mark is what you align to the timing belt cover when using a timing light

then you did right. the single mark is what you align to the timing belt cover when using a timing light YOU PUT THE MOTOR AT TDC
IF its running and hitting the single line than you are about 16* off or so
With the timing light on the #1 plug wire you want your car completely warmed up and running it should be on the center line of the 3.
