Stroked 351W.  Comes in right at or under 400cid.

There's no replacement for displacement, screw a 289 cid toy motor.

Not enough.  If Goforth gets it the plan is to max that setup and work on the suspension @ the track, eventually turn it into a 10.5 Outlaw.

when I tire of dealing with 16 year old kids in the honda scene, this will be my next build. I like the sn mustang if done right.

i seen a guy the other day with a 5.8 badge on his mustang instead of a 5.0

made me laugh a bit that he actually changed it. i would of kept the 5.0 to keep people from talking to me.

i like how it clears the factory early cobra hood.

turbo looks small. very small infact for what that motor is.

what head is on it?

Looks like a 600+ whp turbo to me.  That's a mid 10 in that chassis at 135-136 mph.  You do, what, 126 mph?   :mexi:

What kinda crappy suspension setup is that thing running to only go mid 10's @ 135mph that sounds like a FWD not a RWD.

It doesnt even need suspension, it rides and is suspended on JD's hopes and dreams of how he vicariously lives through the cars he tunes.  It has so much torque that JD's combover blew off to the side.

It was what the orange SN99 convertable with the 3.8, blower, and spray from Pinks @ Rockingham lays to the wheels.  If you remember the thread, he was the one we were worried about because that car had been together forever and was super repeatable, and the driver didn't suck.

not from a roll.

my car has stock manifolds, cats. 10psi pulley on the smallest blower procharger offers for my application and a terrible tune. ricer talk.

i would sure as hell hope big displacement motor with a turbo and probably an auto trans would be faster. too bad that car still sucks and the owner is a queer if he didnt buy that car as a roller and stuff that boat anchor in there as opposed to pulling out a motor thats much more capable of making reliable easy power.

joey dont hate on the mod motors, they are the real deal.

ill go with a big negative there, not to mention the t56 thats attached to a LSx is complete fail compared to the t56 attached to the modular. plus 10 bolt rears are about as useless as they come.

1 right doesnt outweight multiple wrongs.

I'll hate on anything too new and expensive.  When prices drop in 5-7 years I'll like them fine.

In the meantime, I'm looking for a cheap and clean V6 SN99 car to drop a SBF into.

Boo, theyre far from garbage but they arent the greatest, or as good as the cobra t56, but all manual lsx camaros are 6 speed versus ford only having the cobra being a 6 speed.  5.7l of pure powa, touched by the hand of god, able to make 460-480-500 on a complete stock bottom end NA

Camaro has a better engine than a cobra (not 03-04), the trans are not as good as cobras but its still pretty damn good, you get a shit ass rear end, but a mustang needs FI or shitloads of nitrous to even hang with NA camaros, and if you turbo a camaro it'll make 600+ without breaking a sweat.  Plus with a camaro, you dont own a ford  :P

and yes caleb, i knew you were joking.

the non 03-04 cobra has the same engine, from 96 up, And because I'm an intellectual being,  the blower. its not as strong as an 03-04 bottom but it will make just as much as a camaro will in stock form.

Why do you post a picture of a head that has nothing to do with the build list you posted?  Or, for that matter, MOD MOTORS

because it's an aussie crossflow 240 head that fits into the 300

So it's a turd.  You know they had DOHC variants of the 300-6 in OZ, right?
Title: Re: For CoreyR: The Way It Should Be

yes.  and boost versions to boot

None of the Typhoon stuff crosses with the 300-6.  It was based on the 300, but the ozzies took it a step farther.  Badass motors none-the-less.
