Title: 00 GSR Build
Post by: Stick2Swishers on August 02, 2009, 03:40:45 PM: Well I started off buying my 00 GSR about 4 months ago. I loved it what can I say I went from a Chevy Impala to a Acura Integra GSR...Can we say upgrade? So I drove it around for a month and I wanted more out of it. I decided I was going to build the GSR. On my other local forum, I found a GSR that had golden eagle rods, JE Pistons 8:1, tittanium head bolts, Brian Crower springs, retainers, stage 2 turbo cams. These are all BC. The only thing stock inside of the motor is the valves. The motor had less than 12K miles so I bought it. The motor was not boosted, so I figured it was ready for the boost it was built for. I have a Ebay knock off RFL vavle, HKS 40 MM Wastegate, 2.5" turbo pipping, solid intercooler, MSD 998cc injectors, AEM Wideband, Boost & Oil Pressure Gauge, and Hondata s300(save your hate please). Here are some pictures it is ready for the tune, I am just waiting on my chipping kit which is going to be shipped out Monday. Any comments are welcome hate and love appreciated.

This is what happens when you buy an engine someone else built. Built LS VTEC that came in a non-op CRX with a complete turbo setup, During breakin it blew up N/A 800 miles later. Rod Bearing ate shit and rod end came loose, and the crank shot the rod through the block.

There's the problem, left of center. The retard didn't notch the LS block correctly lol. :noel: Last time I bought a shortblock from some mung guys (ugly asians), it had 3 spun mains and 2 spun rods. HOW THE FUCK.

As a matter of a fact I have not even started my car because I bought a blown ecu off another xceeder, but he is going to make the situation right, it is just going to take some time. In the meanwhile I went out and bought another ECU and ordered the s300 chipping kit. I was almost tempted to just go with another engine management because the ecu I picked up was socketed just needed a chip but I said you know what I want to piss these guys off even more and use s300. So in the garage it sits, right next to the booby traps I've place around her. So besides the few ghetto arrangements I.E. the oil feeed line holder what else can you hate on about my car? I wat to fix it up so nobody has n e thing bad to say about it(which is impossible).
