You could try putting it in a bag of rice for a day or two. It should help draw the moisture out. It worked for me once when I dropped my phone in a beer...

you prolly finished it off by putting the battery in there usually if you let them dry out before using them they will be fine

Rubbing alcohol and a q-tip work well to clean em up, but yeah putting the battery back in doesnt help your cause.

If you remove the battery you can dunk a phone in water, dry it out, and it'll work fine.

When you put the battery in the wet phone, or let a phone with a battery get wet, it'll usually burn itself up.  Yours made a sizzling sound - I recommend you don't even post again in this thread as it's a collossal waste of time as nothing can fix it.

Buy an unlock code from ebay.  It's not that hard to do yourself and on ebay you get CDM prices.

My gf has put his cellphone in the washing machine once and I told her to wait until the cellphone dry out (2-3 days) and it was working well after that.

Only thing not working was the little screen on top of it.

What is funny is that I told her before this event to always check if theres something in the pocket of the jeans before putting it in the machine (after she washed my paycheck). She was washing his winter coat, in the coat there were her keys (usb key), wallet and cellphone.

It was a good moment to tell her, I told you so! :P

Most phone manufacturers now have a sticker inside the phone that changes color when It gets wet, to cover their asses.  Number one killer of cell phones.

found a guy on ebay that does it for like $3.50 might try that even though it does seem a little too cheap to be real.
