alright, so I had inline resistors which have worked fine up until the latest revision. I got the new setup finished yesterday, but to my dismay, the fucker only runs on 3 cylinders.
#2 cylinder spark plug pulled doesn't change the idle, the rest do; checked spark and it's good.. checked resistor wiring and it is still connected (soldered). Can these things go bad?
I'm about to go check continuity, and injector #2 pin wires near the ecu..
any advice?
-
btw, i have swapped out injectors, so i'm pretty sure the injectors are fine
-
resistors can burn up, multifunction volt meter is your friend
-
I have one, and have tested the resistance on each injector plug.. all respond the same.
I get nothing with the ECU unplugged (obviously).. i'm starting to think my ECU took a crap
-
I'm getting a solid CEL even after I took my jumper wire out of the DTC plug, so I'm thinking the ecu took a dump.. maybe the injector driver?
-
test with a known good one

what i did was swap injector plugs just to be 100% sure its the injector wiring...
then just ran a wire straight from the ecu to the injector..
solid cel for fried ecu but the only problem is one injector doesnt fire?
idk. wierd...

i'm swapping the whole engine harness tomorrow, and testing the ecu on a scott evans car.

I would swap out the ecu with a known good ecu to check it.
