Regardless, I want to know where my 400 mpg electric car is that never needs an maintenance past tires/brakes. 80 years later and not a whole lot of improvement has been made in the way of lowering fuel consumption. Maybe that car will exist in another 80.  :P

Between all the dumb asses that have to have a big as Ford super deluxe duty quadruple cab just that have no sort of construction job and use the bed maybe once a year and then buy their retarded cunts of wives a big ass SUV that gets 20mpg on the high way there is 90% of your problem. Put enough shiny shit and features that are worthless that will break in a year on a rock and some dip shit will buy it.

Maybe when someone will take the oil companies dick out their ass it may happen. Better gas mileage = higher cost for fuel for them to "stay in business" , shitty gas mileage = "shortage" and higher cost. Either way the oil industry is nothing more than a bunch of greedy ass crooks.

my buddies Escalade EXT gets 18mpg freeway, like 8-10 in town lol... its baller though... its got a tow hitch... only seen it tow a ITR... got a bed (kinda), think he put a bare engine block in it once... BUT, he still calls it a TRUCK.

i see people ALL THE TIME just fuckin daily driving there big ass trucks with no cargo at all. just wasting gas.

just had an idea typing this... we need to put in scales at the pump. so when you park your Suburban/Escalade/Qaud cab/heavy gas guzzling tank whatever and pump some gas it taxes you hard lol. park my teggy to pump some 92 i get a deal.  :noel:
that way they are actually getting charged for using these vehicles on a daily basis. and the ones that have them parked for 5 days a week and just tow there boat/trailer/toys with it dont get punished (like if you just made there tabs more or some bullshit)...

That would be great except the oil companies/gov/and auto companies are all in one.

Winar! It is funny to me my 20yo honda gets better millage than newer compacts. It boggles my mind that there is so much new technology yet it seems we are going backwards in the mpg department. How bout instead of all this heavy ass safety bullshit people actually learn to fucking drive  ::)  Also where are all the sub-compacts that get good mpg? we don't get the vw polo (who would want one lol) Ford ka or the sub-compacts that gm has in other countries. Sure we get the smart now but we get the non turbo 1l which gets shitty millage compared to the diesel they have elsewhere.

I was just going to mention about the smart cars. Ours gets like high 30 mpg combined, and iirc the euro turbo diesel gets ~85 mpg, yet its not here why? Honda has had multiple cars (1g/2g crx hf, civic vx, civic hx, etc) that got amazing mpg without the use of this hybrid shit either. Now we don't even get those.

Give me a 1g crx hf that gets like 50 mpg easy and I'll be happy.

All these cars that claim 50mpg are horseshit.  They  barely get that and you have to do like 40mph to achieve it.
