Title: Looking for a tool cart.
Post by: Joseph Davis on August 21, 2009, 01:03:39 PM
So, tool boxes are overrated.  Even with casters on them they aren't meant to be moved around the shop.

I'm looking at this garbage:

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=storage&item_ID=88298&group_ID=19963&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog (http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=storage&item_ID=88298&group_ID=19963&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog)

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=storage&item_ID=81232&group_ID=21364&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog (http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=storage&item_ID=81232&group_ID=21364&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog) (I like the parting top)

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=storage&item_ID=88338&group_ID=19340&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog (http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=storage&item_ID=88338&group_ID=19340&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog)

Every last one of these whores states clearly:  Country of Origin China, so I'm wondering where to get the shit backdoored out of the factory?

I'm only asking since they don't make anything in America anymore, mind.  (https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.realhomemadeturbo.com%2Fforum%2FSmileys%2Fclassic%2Frolleyes.gif&hash=5805137b67db00abde932177bc58b11cc93be8c2)

Yes, but it's nice shit.  I'd gladly pay half asking price.

Find a kid that is just finishing his schooling, as normally they come around and give them like 50% off, give the kid cash, he buys it for you and your golden.

Off the top of my head I thought from the boxes of them that I used to receive back when I was slinging tools, that they came out of Taiwan, but they may have switched suppliers.

They gave 25% off to students when I went through.

They might be shipping via Tiawan.  But, yeah, things change.

or alternativley find a kid who just got out of an automotive school who has realize he just wasted 10-20K on school only to find out he can only make 10-12 an hour at a dealership and offer him half what he paid because hes going to be looking for a new career anyways.
