Title: Springfield 1903... I just got one :)

Just got this for my birthday.  Trying to find out some more info and figured you Nogs might be able to help me out.  I did a little bit of research but havn't found out a lot.  According to what I found it is from 1917.  It has the Lyman sights, no sling attachment.  Other then that it is in great shape.  Doesn't look like it has ever been restored, no rust, bolt action is smooth, rifeling looks excellent, and fires straight and true.  Anyways, what do you think?

looks cool! ive got a .303 smle and love it. probably my third favorite gun to shoot. old guns rock

once you shoot a mosin everything else feels/shoots like shit

fuck id take a fucking mosin over a m1... and that says alot XD

Speaking of mosin's, I may chop the barrel on one of mine down to 16" and see how it feels to shoot
