Title: no spark(obd1 ls teg)more back ground on the car
Post by: deeznutts on August 28, 2009, 02:53:44 PM: ok all fuses are good bought a dizzy from chris on here and the grounds are good so were the fuck do i go from here some one help a nig out

ok heres wat i got from the prev owner.
she told me that before me there was another guy that came and looked at the car , he started it up and with it running he started pulling the plug wires one by one i guesse to check for a dead cyl and she said it died and they could not get it to start back up and thats how its been till i bought it.
as far as i know doing this shoulnt hurt the car hell i have done it before and it caused no probs but if this could have damaged somthing that im missing please post up..thanks

Post by: deeznutts on August 29, 2009, 12:06:25 AM: ok so i thought it was getting fuel but i think it was just old fuel , i loosened the fuel rail and turned the key over and nothing came out and i know that if this bitch was getting fuel it would be spraying out.
so im guessing it is the main relay going to try one from my ef and see if it will work on this pos

or may be dead fuel pump.

Post by: deeznutts on August 30, 2009, 11:32:21 PM: ok the car is def getting fuel but still no spark i put a new rotor on the dizzy and still nothing i took it to auto zone and they tested and said its good on tues im going to put it on a friends ls coupe and see if it will start his car, so
if they dizzy turns out to be good wat else might it be is there a ground that im missing i know of the one on the trans, on the harnesse to the thermo, and the one on the vc orther than the few under the dash were are there grounds??
if i cant figure this out soon then im just going to pull the motor and swap it into my hatch and junk this body...

like i said before when i put it on and the first time i turned the key it started and died like all at one time hahaha never really idled just fired and thats it..
