im meeting up with a guy on craigslist to buy a welder tomorrow, he wants 800 for a miller high freq box and a thunderbolt mma box. hes got it hooked up but doesnt know how to tig so hes selling it, bunch of extras with it.
my ques is this a good deal, also the thunderbolt is an ac/dc mma power supply. can i run the high freq continuous and use the ac setting on the welder?
got the welder, paid $700. tested it out befor i bought it and it welds awesome, nice smooth clean arc and the high freq is strong as hell. also has some setup where the torch leads are not hot untill you step on the pedal.
time to make some shit.

anyone know what those 2 black things are in the last 2 pics? i think they are like high power relays becuase the leads are not hot when the foot pedal is off.
-
They are industrial contact, basically large relays.
