My bro works at Home Depot and tells me that he marked a welder down to $299...
i suck at welding, maybe its just because of my buddies flux welder that ive been using but my welds are shitty.
should i get this?

i dont know what kind of gas im supposed to buy with it though. its mainly just going to be doing ic/piping, exhaust shit and light shit here and there.

go to a welding supply place and tell them you need a bottle of mig gas and they willl know what you need.
i run 75/25 argon/co2 you can run a bunch of diff shit for mig though. ive seen people use straight co2 cause its cheaper.
you should be able to buy a bottle with a fill in the 125 range, then you ownt he bottle and its proably 25-30 for a fill after that.

I am a solid welder, but I write like a Dr. it is barley legible and changes drastically in size from one end of a line to the other.
I don't know of any welders with nice hand writing other then maybe Dave @ passenger.

Welding all comes down to practice like everything. if you never do it you suck at it. You saw my gangster welds on the charge piping thats skillz
The best welder I know writes like he had a stroke the day before.
I need to weld more often as I plan on opening an exhaust shop in the next couple years. One of the view fields that will always be needed.

airgas is trying to rape me for 150 for a small botttle of 75/25 thats only good for 1hr.
im picking up a 162cf for 160 right now

i have terrible handwriting. so bad i actually had my grandmother fill out my 15 page backround check app for state police a couple weeks ago lol.
a 92 cfh bottle wont run out in an hour. ive had my 330 on my mig for over a year so far and i run it at double the gas flow people normally use.

160 isnt bad if you own the bottle and it comes with a fill.
i run mine at like 20cfh, but most people run 8-10

dude had a fab shop and closed down cause he got sick.. yep. own the bottle and full as well....
