Okay, so I wake up this morning a little late, so I skipped my classes to finish my baller sinktrap manifold. I took a 70mg hydrocodone and began making some cuts and measurements. The phone rings and my girlfriend says she is in pain and needs to be picked up from work.
I show up and load her up in the car, at this point she's crying, so we call the doc and they said to bring her in. They check her vitals, all is good. The intern checks her cervix, says it's okay.. the main doc comes in and check it.. she's dialated 2cm, he sends us to the emergency delivery room.. i'm really fucking trashed at this point.. nurses and doctors are in and out. i'm hardly able to open my eyes at this point.
To make a longer story short, her water broke at some point in the past 48 hours and she didn't know, so the baby was seriously in danger with almost no amniotic fluid in the womb. they send her to the surgery room and I watch them cut the baby out.
He's 4.5 pounds with a full head of hair. the doctors are leaving him in special care for a month to make sure his lungs don't collapse.
About 8 hours later I still have a buzz, had to talk to my whole family, including hers in this state, they have no idea I did pills today because I'm pretty much straight aside from drinking every once in awhile.
I'm still sitting in the maternity room while lauren is sleeping in front of me. what a crazy day!

they said even holding the baby will cause the mammary glands to squirt milk :)

when we found out my wife was pregnant we had about $1k in the bank and neither of us had a job.
Thats about right. We werent that well off when we had our first. But all's well that ends well.

Congrats dude, I was in the same situation when my daughter was born. I was high as fuck on percocet nodding out. was in the delivery room for 40 hours fighting to keep awake. ended up inhaling straight oxygen to keep me from passing out before the baby was born.

May 3rd! we think he water broke when she was taking a warm bath the night before, and just didn't realize it.
They weighed him again, he's almost 5 pounds and 19 inches long.. very good for a 7 month old
