why the fuck wouldnt you drive your own car on a track after building it???

The civic is mine, I also built the del sol.
After we spent so much time on the body and everything else on my crx I didnt want to road course the car.

The civic is stripped with upgraded brakes, legel full cage, race seats with 5point simpson harness, lowered on coilovers,
june 4-1 header, 2.5" straight pipe with cat,

I normaly run real race track and push real hard.  There is a good chance I will one day come off the track with how hard I go.  If I roll my civic I dont car and will strip it and build another one for cheap.  Iv owned my CRX for 9 years and am very atatched to it.  + the crx has a good 300lb of stereo in it.

I would love to do some laps it looks like so much fun.  ;D  Only thing I've driven is a go-kart at 43mph (70km/h). It wasnt fun anymore at the end, too slow...

on that track I would hit about 180kph
Mt tremblane I was over 210 kph

My hatch isnt the fastest straight line car, but it handles well.

Im setup as an instructor for the bmw club of canada, my little civic and I have wooped ass to many high doller and way faster cars.

Fastest straight line car I drove was a 10.20 in a baumont(might be spelt wrong)
Driving a drag car is easy for a decent driver.  Try going 200kph comming into the corner befor breaking and powering out of it at 150kph.  There is no comparason between the 2.  Anyone who has tryed them both know.

Drag racing used to be the funnest thing in the world to me and I would go every weekend, then I went on a real race track once and it was all over.

If you have never done a real race track just do it once!

Right.  What was your best 60', ET, and trap?  Because, by my yardstick, decent drivers are one in a thousand and I'm pretty sure you not only sucked at drag racing but your car was so slow you have no idea what I'm talking about.

No way JD being a doushe for no reason....

Who cares i enjoy auto-x and driving the curves more then drag racing. but still drag race when i can. but you can't even begin to say drag racing is hard.

To each there own.

Fail Fail fail.

go carts for many many years, used to race and beat scott good year, paul tracey(Ithink), and a bunch of other guys who are now top of the game.  If you go to goodwood you will see up on the wall for fastest times for that year hes at the top

motercycles for many years

then moved on to the honda mecheline series where he got rokie of the year, many many top 3 finishes
a few first place, all while self funded and daily driving the car.

the dbl shifting is from missing gears somtimes into third.  I made the linkages for the car when we swaped in the gsr
and they dont feel quit right.

also for lowerit if you want to talk trash u and I can head out to TMP and see if you could come anywhere near me or my uncle in a comparable car.

let me know because both cars will be able to record if you can
del sol is stock with b17 gsr, stock struts, street tires, just lowering springs
civic is stock b16 with gsr cams (no real gain) stock pr3 ecu with drum brakes, stock struts, ebay coilovers

Im going to do another lapping event there in october if you would like to man up?

You asked me once if you could put the 13x 22 x 10" wide hoosier slicks I had for sale on stock honda wheels.

Im not questioning your experience...but everyone is a speedracer on the internet (me included) and if you were beating those guys Im sure your racing career would have progressed.
