the OE holster for my gun sucks balls. not conceal carry friendly at all. gun seems to fall away from my body for all to see that i got a gun (not always bad). but it makes it uncomfortable to carry also.
so what you guys use for your daily action? or got a suggestion for me.
oh yeah i have a XD9 subcompact, 3in barrel.

I have one of the nut-covering holsters. It conceals my 4" XD .45 (although I don't carry often, kinda bulky) and I'm skinny as fuck. Holds an extra magazine as well.
Forget the name.
Velcro straps around your waist. Conceals well. Comfortable to use.

yeah the smart carry... or safe carry? i remember seeing those. kinda spendy isnt it?

in the front pocket. 8)

Yeah that's what it was...one of those two names. Kinda pricey but meh, I won't need ever need to replace it. I don't carry often, usually only if I go out of town.

The best one I've had is the blackhawk serpa holster. It's got a hard plastic shell, and a gun retention system that is superior to everything. The tab on the side needs just a little pressure to release it, and the tab is placed so your trigger finger is in ready position. Without that little pressure on that tab, that fucken gun isn't coming out. It also comes with everything to use as either a belt or paddle holster. I used the paddle and a tight belt.

With my new PPS, blackhawk doesn't make, and doesn't seem to want to make a holster for it, so I had to find something else.
My new holster is a galco leather deal. It's basic, and has no thumb breaks or any of that bullshit that's stupid as fuck. When you need to shoot someone, the last thing you need is a button and a strap in your way. The galco was spendy, but without the blackhawk available it's the only holster (style) I'd be willing to carry with.

The blackhawk was around $60, and the galco was about $100. Those prices compared to my fondness of both should be switched around, but whatever. There's many of the galco style xd holsters available, I believe even made by Springfield.

It doesn't impede anything...pissing I guess it can get in the way but not difficult to move.

Oh, I thought you wanted a holster, not a fanny pack. haha.
The thing that really concerns me about carrying is that neither of my guns have a safety, so I like having the holster covering the trigger guard. I'd never carry in my front pocket or loose in a fanny pack.

mine has the glock style double trigger and the rear grip safety... should be ok. says its snag free.
-
Stealth - it's not loose.
It's cloth and goes around your waist, yes, but the trigger is covered and the only thing uncovered is the grip.
Mine also has a trigger and grip safety, so I'm not worried.

I got one of these for my Glock very comfortable. im also looking into a Black hawk paddle but i have worn one they stick out on the side making it easier to see your packing.

Idk if they make a clipdraw for the xd. I use one on my glock. I'm probably going to get a stainless g27 in the near future. I have a std. g26 right now and cause I free ball it gets a fair ammout of my persperation and body oils. The barrel is starting to pit a bit at the end and the black oxide coating is starting to wear off a bit. Still shoot's like a champ...
I like the clipdraw. The search for a holster was a daunting one. Everyone said once you found something you like buy 3 or 4 cause they'll discontinue it once you wear your first one out...

seems like too much of a pain in the ass to carry :-\

i have one of these for my 24/7 compact

and just a cheap uncle mikes inside the pocket for the kel-tec.

ive always been a fan of the inside waste band holsters
-
i dont use a holster, just more bulk to make it harder to conceal.

gangsta style tucked in your belt/pants or in your pocket? works best in my testing over the holster i have. but im converned about carrying loaded like that, and it falling out.
i might just have to buy a couple? the in the pants side action looks nice, smartcarry looks interesting also.
anyone carry on there back vs the side?

Snub nose is the best concealed carry weapon eVaRRRR, who cares if you only have 5-6 shots, if you can't make it happen with that many rounds odds are you wont make it happen with2-3 times more.
CCW guns are for hitting the target you're aiming at, not laying down cover/suppressive fire

im thinking of cutting the hammer spur off my rossi so i can pull it out of my pocket without snagging.

Semi auto's suck as ccw guns, much more likely to fail. I know whatcha mean my snubby has a hammer that kinda snags too, but if you get good at it you can draw and cock the hammer in one smooth motion so that first shot is a single action shot for a little more accuracy
