Title: 4.25 Final drive in cable dx trans?
Post by: bgdriver on September 30, 2009, 07:25:07 PM: So I have a si(pl3-9000) transmission that doesn't work and a dx(pl3-a100) transmission that does. I do not like the queer 3.8 FD. Can i take the si diff and final drive out put 35mm bearings on it and make it fit?

EDIT: or should i take the dx gear set and put it in the si case with the si FD?

Will the A100 gearset fit into the si case with the si fd?

That means stripping them both and swapping JUST the countershaft.
