Ok 96 civic lx. Speedo sits on 20mph when the car is on when its off it sits at 0
So i figured it was the vss, so I swaped it out and same shit. So I tuned the car on, but didnt start it. Pulled out my volt meter, was checking shit out with the on and I think i shorted 2 of the wires when i slipped checking the pins and I got a little spark. Now all the lights pulse when the car is running. What did I fuck up? Also there is now a cel on. Im gona have the cel checked out tomorrow, but if you guys have any info let me in on it.

you let magic smoke out of the ecu did you? good luck putting it back in.

i didnt toutch the ecu, this was all done under the hood. So you saying i cooked the ecu? Its not in limp mode if that make a differance.,

I think he wanna mean that you are stoned out of ECU soldering smoke. ;)

is the pulsing happening when driving? check your in dash fuses. mine did the same thing, and i had to swap fuse 15 i think, a 7.5amp. my issue now is that the car will no longer start, but i think that is from a dead battery

At idle it does it. I dont know about when driving, but I belive he said it was doing it when he was driving too. I will check all the fuses later when I get off work. Fucken shit always happens to me when Im working on other peoples cars but never mine..... fuck me.

P2E is the most worthless ECU. People give them away just ask around. I would give you one I gave away my last 2 already.

Sorry about the delayed post but I fixed it. Took it down and had the codes read. It was throwing #1 o2 #2 o2 and eld.
So i started checking fuses and low and behold a blown fuse. Swaped it out and disconected the batt. And no more problem. But the speedo still dosent work. So did a search online and it said there was a tsb out for it. Looked at it and honda said they had the engine wiring harnnes laying up on the intake bracket and it would cause wires to rub and make it not work. So I have to jack the car up pull the intake braket off, and check all the wires.
