So today was the day we had scheduled for Adam at TYC Photography to take pics of the car. He's based around central CA. It happened to still be raining a bit, but with his level of skill I'm not concerned.

I should have everything back in about 2 weeks. Pre-order for 2010 Shuttle calendars will begin shortly. :P
-
Dude can take pics but he has shitty taste. Mrs mode should have been in with the car, not your ugly mug :P
-
I asked her, but she said she's too fat, and I agreed.
Plus, she's on her way to Japan, so it wouldn't have worked out.
-
Yea, I heard she was going there to get the inside of real Karma Sutra, LIVE
-
HDR looks cool.
So when do you get the pics?
-
I'm sure yours will turn out pretty baller. That guy knows what he's doing.
-
whats that rig type thing he had mounted on the roof of the car or am i just not JDM enough to know yet?
-
I think its used for rolling shots. Keeps the camera perfectly still relative to the car, so you can do a long exposure to blur the background with the car rolling at like half a mile an hour.
I've wanted to make one of those rigs for a while, although I'd use it for burnouts.
-
This for a magazine?

Exactly.

It could be. I'll get the pics in 2 weeks and depending on how it comes out I'll submit them as a feature or not. The photog guy has a couple people that he said he could run it by, but I think more than anything the magazines are just broke/lazy, so as long as we've done the pics and get an article written, I'm sure they'd love to take credit for doing nothing.
-
Got one of the pics back
-
cleanest 400+hp 13 second car I have ever seen

well 1, if a car is going to get featured, none of the pictures that will be in the article can be posted online. He took the pictures of my friends is300 that was in modified a few months ago. And they'll pay him for the images ;)

HONDUHTACHAPPROVEEEDED
-
Nice. A mag spot would be sweet.
-
how much did that cost you ???
-
how much did that cost you ???
+1 i'd like to know as well.
-
how much did that cost you ???
43 dollars, a bag of dorito's, Anal from 4 mexicans and a handjob to an authentic JDM meth-hobo

The guy was out here visiting and lined up about 5 or 6 cars to shoot. It was $150 for the shoot, and in the end I'll have
25 HI RES images on a disc
25 Internet friendly images(1000x667)
Rolling shots
Rig shots
Individual mod shots
HDR images
See through hood pic
I actually couldn't believe he'd waste his time (and his helpers) on a Saturday at 6am for 4 hours for that much, so I sent him a little more when it was all said and done.
-
looks really good steve
-
I think I never saw a picture of your car without rain!? You must live in a shitty place lol
I like the Sin city style of some of the images.

Sean k who shoots for several magazines posts quite a few of his pictures online....and shows how he did them.

Damn...that's stupid cheap.
-
6 shoots for $150 each.
Possibly portfolio work.
but yes, $150 for on site shots, with all of that gear is on the cheap side.

Not knowing the hidden expenses and ASSuming it's just buy gear and go, at 4 hours per car, probably. If there's a "crew" involved that needs payment that's a good deal. To the point they're taking it up the ass to shoot the car. That's McDonald's money.
-
As good as he is, he did tell me this isn't his full time gig, so it's side shit at this point.

I'm aware of who sean is. I'm sure the images he posts have either been featured or are a different image from the same shoot.
Adam seems to be pretty cheap considering what he does. I definitely wouldn't fly over from ca for 150 per car. w/ 6 cars thats only 900 bucks - airfare and gas and shit to scout and then to go back and shoot. It doesn't come out to be much. But whatever floats his boat.
