Quote
People buying ammunition in California will soon have to be thumbprinted and dealers will have to keep records of sales, under legislation that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law.

Starting in July, the law will require dealers to keep records of handgun ammunition sales for at least five years, and store the bullets securely out of customers' reach.

As of February 2011, all ammunition buyers will have to provide a driver's license or other state identification and a thumbprint.

And they still haven't figured out that the problem they write this kind of law for would require that criminals don't steal. The only other purpose is to piss off Johnny Citizen.

I agree with Johnny on this one.  It will probably hit us southern states last, just because of the outlash, but its coming. Time to stock up.  :noel:

You aslo have to fingerprint to recycle copper, aluminum, brass. Plus pictures taken with goods being recycled

Then wait 5 business days to get paid. You then have to go back to pick up your check and finally fingerprint again to verify you are the same person.

So how long until we have a nationalized ID card?  Granted driver and non-driver licenses are pretty close.

 :(

Kalifornia, the new USSR.  United States Socialist Republic.

No card, you'll have a micro chip implanted in an unknown location in your body via obama-care swine flu vaccine.

The state will collapse upon it self in 15 years I have no doubt about that. We have some cities running close to 30 percent unemployment rates

2nd amendment doesn't apply to ammunition, or at least that is what this is saying.

Tried buying handgun ammo from Walmart recently?  Or primers/powder from 99% of retailers?

Non-existent from what I hear.  A couple of major factors come to mind.  Political pressure on manufacturers, and massive demand due to the political/economic environment we are enjoying.

limits like that are different then a law saying you can only buy x ammount of rounds. walmart may say you can only buy a box a day but you can walk right back in and buy another.

California is the test state for all these laws.  It'll happen to other states soon enough.  If the corrupt retarded fucking government in CA figures that they can pull this kinda bullshit and it actually goes through other states will soon follow suite.  The rot starts here, so dont laugh, it'll be coming to your state soon enough.    All governments want to ban guns, without guns how can the citizens revolt against a corrupt government?  They can't, which is why the gay ass govt wants to take our guns in the first place.

a
Remember after the first depression that bastard of a president made all those federal programs to reignite the economy, mount rushmore, all the highways, etc etc?  He also made it so that if you owned a automatic firearm (likely a tommygun) you have to pay a ridiculous amount for a 'tax stamp' aka 'gun to johnnys head stealing his money stamp'  which was something like $1500, when the average americans yearly income was around $5000.  Those numbers are pretty close to what they were IIRC.

i remember they have been talking about this for awhile. for you guys that only shop at wal mart for ammo i say try a gun shop or hit up a gun show. sure its more sometimes(gun show you can find cheap stuff and some nice killing rounds) but besides just shooting rounds off to practice or for fun id buy killing rounds elsewhere then wal mart. your not going to get a good balistic tiped, or high powered round at wal mart. there nice for the cheap shot gun shells year round. i stocked up on some magnum 6 shot for 5$ for a 25 box. normally 12.99 at wal mart and more elsewhere. they overstocked and they only sell these during geese/duck/dove season. friends dad bought like 35 boxes of the 5 shot and me and my friend bought them out of the 6 shot. great for killing brids of most sizes. wal marts never had shit for riffle rounds or any magnum round as far as i can remember. and lol at na mike buying a gun or 5 on his income im surprised no ones made fun of him about that yet, so i have to.
but seriously even if you're to poor you should look into getting a gun now. i wouldnt wait it off any longer. prices have already been jacked up so high in the last 4 years. some prices have went down a bit the last few months, but dont count on it staying there with laws like these getting passed more and more.

I understand home is home, but why do people want to live in California? There is really nothing positive about the place except the weather and the scenry. The place is so regulated its unreal. The cost of living is through the roof. Earthquakes and fires all of the dam time. What does it have to offer that I am not aware of?

This I am fine with because there were people running around here stealing copper vases from grave sites with flowers in them and selling them for scrap copper.  $200 thing for $10 in scrap money, not cool.  My dad does hvac and he has had complete copper linesets ripped out of houses he's been working in and sold for scrap.  Also had some dudes working for him who took brand new coiled linesets and sold them for scrap, instead of even trying to return them or sell them somewhere for close to cost.  There are some fucking common people around here, so I fully support fingerprinting and delaying scrapping as well as pawning tool and other things.
+1. My dad runs a construction company, and a few years back before these laws passed we were building some apartments and had some jackass destroy four brand new, never used, outside units to get the coils and the fan motors. And he cut the copper wire feeding them, lines he could reach, and the 8-2 w/ ground wire going to our temporary power pole. And after redoing them somone did it again to one of them.

i agree people need to start fighting for the rights back. less goverment control. reason why i like ron paul. he was such a great canidate for president. never understood how so many people could vote to pass laws like these. to many people just go with the flow or what they hear on the news/others.

Ron Paul unfortunately had no chance in hell.  His ideas were too radical for the general public and pretty much anyone in government.

Our president is mostly just a figure head anyway.

Majority of California is extremly cheap, only the cities are expensive aka san francisco,la,sna diego

The rest of the state is valley and desert, its actually very cheap to live in these areas thats why people have stayed. The state also is too large and why its such a mess.

Anyone who thinks california is full of homo's doesnt know this area. The courts turned over to make gay marriage legal and guess what the people overtunred it pretty easily to make it illegal again.

Again besides the major cities most of Californian's love guns, hate queers and smoke weed. San francisco and los angeles are not California they are cities that make California look like something its not.
