If you look on sites like Rottentomatoes or something like it, and see the ranking, you may get the feeling the movie is going to be amazing. It isn't. I think people just universally accept it as a good movie.

I'll probably see Where the Wild Things are sometime this week.

It's not what I (barely) remember of the book. It is worth the money, and is best seen on the widescreen. The fake ass looking monsters actually work and look real-ish after a fashion after your eye adjusts, and you get sucked into the movie on an empathic level.
