The car/build is a repost from years ago man. Harry my brother aka MR2Guru on this board is the former owner of the shell, and sold it to MAperformance, who built it. I met em when they got the car. Super cool guys. At the time I didnt think they were serious when they told me what they were gonna do. Im glad they have it running so well!
Also, it WAS a 4g64 bottom, they may have changed that though.
-
cool
i like the first launch
-
Wow that thing sure hangs the wheels.
-
So they did this because...? All I'd guess is they had a CNC w/no jobs for (adapter), a spare th400, and rolled a Gallant. They probably didn't pck up any reliability.
Pretty cool though. Must be a bitch to work on the engine, they have so little room for a rotary as is.

Nice

I like. They took the only thing that didn't suck from a DSM and married it with the only parts that don't suck in an FD, resulting in obvious success by anyone's yardstick.
Very nice.

I work at MAP, and work on this car often. We've actually got it set up so it's extremely easy to work on for the most part. Trans comes out in under an hour, engine comes out in under an hour, most basic maintenance stuff is easily accessable. We built the car basically just for showing off, and to show people what we could do, but it's looking like we might be competitively racing it next season as well. Oh, and it's still a 4g64 (2.4L)

Pretty much what we were thinking. We specialize in DSM stuff and love the engines, rotary's blow giant donkey cock, and FD's are sexy as hell O0

I still like it.
Might need a different hood/bumper though. Just my preferences
-
your preference on bumpers doesnt count..
How can it with what you rock nigger???
LOL

driver's nutz for staying in it. only way i'd try to save it at that point in the run is if it was for pinks and it didn't matter if you ended up in the wall. other wise, why take a chance on wrecking something that obviously has a shit ton of time and money in it
-
He didn't stay in it. He just coasted down the track after he got it back

if he didn't, then he overcorrected the second wobble like a mofo. kept it in one piece tho, bet it was a wicked ride
-
its a 4g64 from a truck or rwd dsm no 4g63. just a 4g63 head i saw this leaving cedar falls that day. wish i would have see it run.
-
