Title: Paranormal Activity
Post by: Ntrain2k on November 01, 2009, 06:46:48 PM
I'm so glad I downloaded a rip of this movie and did not spend money to see it.

Imagine Blair witch project with only 2 people and in a house.

The end.

Good LSD only requires one hit.

I waited the whole movie for just a glimpse of a demon, but just like shipping a turbo from canada using it's postal service, it did not deliver.

I was prepared to not waste my time on this movie, but then I remembered this site is full of faggots who liked Transformers.  This Paranormal Activity flick is probably a decent movie, if the tastes here are any indication.

I'll have to agree with the tasteless and say this movie is shit.  I also stole it and was almost pissed that it was present on my hard drive as I watched it.  Everyone else says it's amazing and I even heard one dumbass swear up and down that it was a true story and a real event just recorded.  They say that movie cost $15k to make, I'd say another $1mil on advertising, and they creators banked on an epic level.  Anyone who thought this movie was scary is a chickenshit and is probably afraid of their own shadow.

I agree... There rolling around in a pool of money they made profit off this shitty movie and for thoses who swear up and down its true you should refer them at look up the other two alternate endings

It was ok... would have been better if the theater wasn't full of 13 year olds that screamed at everything and talked through the whole thing.  It was freaky, but not quite terrifying.

Buddy burned me a TS copy and I was glad that I did not spend money this shit.

And I was watching it with my two oldest kids so got the crowded theater w/ the whole talking through whole movie thing for free. :?: ;D

It's not that scary but no 'horror' movie is. It's sort of creepy. I can appreciate the budget it was done on. Why is everyone ripping on the creators, because they made something successful and profited on it? It was made for $15k and then sold to Paramount for $100k. Paramount spent $1M redoing the ending and about $9M marketing it. It's not like original filmmakers got rich or anything. I have only seen the original I haven't seen any of the alternate endings.

How do you figure that?  They made $85K and they got their names out there.

Yes are there are about 8 producers. I don't consider making ~$10k rich. Getting their names out there though is true. It may or may not result in future benefits. If it does we'll use the matching principle and match revenue to expenses. We can call them rich when they are in fact rich.
