Do they have it setup to where you can use the phone as a modem? I took my  instinct and unlocked that feature and I use it all the time with my laptop.  ;D Sprint and verizon are the only ones that have any kind of service in my area. SO Ive got 2 phones on my plan and its 1500 shared min, and unlimited everything else for 129.99

people have found a way to tether the droid without incurring a charge, which verizon tries to get you for doing it the legit way.

Sprint dosent offer that service, so they cant charge you for something they dont offer;)

Yes you can tether it with the Sprint service and with android theres a root hack to allow the phone to serve as a WAP

Na he just recently moved so I'm not sure if he has interweb yet. It's CDMA which will be a strike in his book, he whores out the Tmobile. I shall notify of page though.

I have the tmobile g1 with android and use an application from junefabrics.com called pda net to run my laptop when free wifi is not available. It's not very fast but the free version is good enough for rhmt surfing and other websites of the like. The paid version is $35.00, but don't know if it would be any faster.

I'm here bitchtits.

My only problem with CDMA is you're limited on what phones you can use with your provider and using illegitimately-acquired CDMA phones is generally not possible since they're almost always blacklisted.  GSM on the other hand...use whatever phone from whatever provider you want, stolen or not.

Hero = mytouch for tmob, and yeah it's cool, I just don't like the lack of keyboard.

Droid is pimp.

Google-nav is pimp. - http://www.viddler.com/explore/engadget/videos/768/17.222 (http://www.viddler.com/explore/engadget/videos/768/17.222)
