Title: Weird thing happened tonight
Post by: Teg2boo on November 22, 2009, 12:56:57 AM: I was driving on the highway and I heard clicking sound in the dash and the engine missfired. I had a CEL at one time, but after a restart the cel was gone. Did that 2-3 times.

I think the sound was comming from the main relay... What can cause the main relay to act like that? I'm not sure if the problem could be related to the recent installation of eCtune, but I never had problem before.

Also, the thing was happening on ~20-30% throttle only.

It was my first "long" ride on the highway since I installed eCtune so I don't know if it's related to it.

If someone had similar problem...

I'll solder the joints in the main relay to see if it helps too.

if so, it is probably your cable. i have had that happen from the cable being loose. thats what i hate about ectune. if you have a chip, you cant retune as you want and if you want to be able to tune it, you have to have an ostrich or demon. i like to have a chip in my car when driving normally
