Title: New BOV time, Whatcha recommend?
Post by: El Beefo on March 21, 2009, 08:09:41 PM
So my CDM SSQV took a dump so im thinking about getting a notha one. Ive been running a SSQV on my past 3 setups only because Ive had allot of luck w/ them not leaking (and i like the sound)but twice they've crapped out on me so time for change. Ive used the 1G DSM, SSQV, RFL, and Tial styles in the past.... Thinking bout going w/ the Blitz style. Whatcha guys think?

Try going with something name brand or a factory unit instead of knock of shit all the time.

My Forge has been nothing shy of excellent for me.  They typically include 4 different springs as well, so you can put in which ever psi spring best matches your setup.

+1
I bought a knockoff Type RS Bov and it was either leaking boost or not blowing off no matter what was done with the springs/adjusting nut.
I shelled out the extra $100 and got a real Type RS that worked flawlessly when bolted on. I wasted $40 on the cheap one. :-\

I just opened it before I used it and took out all the loose plastic bits (looked like epoxy glue) that was all over the diaphram, and its been working great for the $20 it cost me  :)
