Anyone have some knowledge on this? Changed the oil and need to remove the service light. Don't want to take it to Porsche. From what I read, you need a reader to do it. Anyone know if autozone rents the necessary reader out or some other turn wheel push button start car method will reset it?
Service now message is getting annoying. Holla!

Eh, sometimes this method works, sometimes it doesnt.
- With key in off position,(key in) depress the ODO button. - Without brake pedal depressed, turn ignition on while still pushing the ODO button. - You should see a message: "Service Reset". - Push and hold the "enter" button located on the bottom of the wiper stalk. - While continuing to push the "enter" button, turn off the ignition (off also means out).
If that doesnt work, then it must be done with a Porsche scan tool or a generic that supports cayenne. I doubt the auto zone tool will do it. Durametric will, and some others.

thanks dude, I'm gonna have to give that a whirl. I hope it works. I really don't wanna spend any monies on scan tools.
