I wonder why they never came out with this sexy beast?

Calling a Fiero a CRX is sacrilege. A POS Fiero and a NSX is nothing like a CRX. ::)

a mid engine mule from honda that happened to be called a crx is nothing like a crx princess.

Part Ferrari part camaro! CAMARRI!

Honda wouldn't release something that cool.
I think now that the S2K is out of production, there will never be a Honda worth buying again, unless you're a soccer mom
-
the crz looks cool, but it is going to suck balls.

If they tone down its snout, I'll say it looks cool.
Their talk of making it hybrid only and sounding like they don't plan to release an SI model scares me.
A high-strung, 6-speed lsd equipped barebones (relative to the other shit today) little coupe would be fun, but like you said I'm pretty sure it's going to suck balls.

i'm sitting here with that issue on my lap typing this.
apparently it wasn't a concept car of honda's at all. it was something honda contemplated and R&T's staff came up with the idea to get a reader survey to help honda build the thing regarding engines, suspension, etc.
feel free to complete the survey on page 46 and mail it to CRX/R&T, 1499 monrovia ave, newport beach CA 92663.
it may take a while for them to get back to you..
if you actually have that issue in hand, a much more interesting read is the Lotus active suspension article on page 60. there are features for the mk3 supra, FC rx7 and Z31 in that issue as well. why they decided to put that fake CRX on the cover i'll never know.

No I just happened to come across the cover. I was a tad bit under the influence when I posted it, but I think it was much better than some of my previous intoxicated post.

I have the April 89 Motor Trend where they first showed the NSX. "Variable valve timing" on a "3.0L to 3.3L" dohc v6 is the rumor. Obviously there was enough contemplation for something to come out. However, the 800hp Testarossa in there kinda steals it's thunder...
Anyone else with crx/nsx back issues?

BLAH BLAH BLAH nothin but the =s to BULLSHIT THREAD

The 88 fieros were actually pretty well-sorted, suspension wise. All they needed to do was pick a motor that wasn't an asthmatic boat anchor and it would have been a fantastic car. I used to have a GT and I'll never forget the look on the face of the guy in the C5 as I blew past him on the exit of the carousel at road america. Of course, my exit speed advantage was quickly gobbled up by his HP advantage, but it was still a good time.

Yeah not one of Pontiac's brightest ideas spending a 80 million +usd to have Lotus redesign the '88s suspension.
Then make only 5200+ Fiero of which only 1500 GTs then stop because they realize they spent too much. :?:
I always liked the look of them, I even had a '85 SE.
But once I started driving an EG I never want own another Fiero again.
