lols. My JDM motor was worse than that and it still runs after cleaning it up.
The reh-tard should of used a shop vac first, then sprayed it with cleaner with the vac on or something.

what the fuck is this?, alum. chunks and dried oil chunks?
I would have pulled the motor at that point. Complete hot tank
*EDIT* added pics, and wtf. I would run the motor for 20 minutes then change the oil, repeat doubling the time every oil change. Not wait 1250MILES and use those Mann filters and shit. Fucking cheap as possible, use the big fram oil filters so you can get the most out of that filter before you chuck it. BMW people are so stupid

Lol, its funny how the owners explanation of the lack of oil changes was, "its a long story, and not important".
The only thing more overrated than BMW cars are BMW owners.

ur just mad they make fun of your purple car :P

i still dont get it, why was he waiting 60k? is that what the factory says?
i know some cars are like >10k now but damn
-
Typical BMW owner... I worked for a BMW dealer about 10 years ago. We had a lady come in with a 740 who had filled the motor up with oil... right up... so that the entire head was submerged.. she got less then a mile.
I would have set fire to that car and called the ins. co.

I liked that too.
Any regular person out there would have gotten 20 oil changes in that time period. What drives someone to take that long to do it? ridiculous
-
I know someone who did this. Oil burning itr + synthetic + occational oil filter.
What I find amazing is that he either didn't run it low from it sludging up, or that he actually added dozens of quarts in the mean time. There is no reason to skip that many oil changes. Even a Pinto will reward you in some way by spending $15-50 on oil.
What is sad is people will spend 50+ hours a week working to pay for a car/house/etc but won't take 5 minutes to understand how to maintain their shit. I'm sure they don't look at a cell phone and say "omg it's too technical for me to ever learn"

Jeremy Clarkson put it best when he described BMW owners as cocks. Rolling around with an undeserved sense of accomplishment.

+1 in total agreement

Haha, Passenger drives a 3 series and shares a shop with a BMW tuning shop.
-
The oil change interval on that car is actually 15k. It sounds crazy but I have 6800 miles since the last change and it's constantly bugging me but when I look at the oil it still looks amazing. There is no way i'll wait until 15k but maybe 7.5k or 10k.
-
Fucking you oil changing bastards,
i haven't changed the oil in my truck in over 10 years. Yes you read that right 10 years, its got well over 100k miles on the oil.

My hate for them grows everyday, I should have my benz back on the road next weekend, than I can get rid of my 325is.
BMW's are to the automotive world what an enduro is to the motorcycle world. They are a mix of sports car, and a luxury car, yet they do neither very well.

passangers bmw changed its own oil on the way to kelowna :P

Lol, almost. That was the most angry I have been in quite a few years.

My CRX engine started burning oil pretty bad after 200k miles.
Shittons of oil.
It used to be low on oil every month, and after I started putting the B-swap together I stopped doing full oil changes and just started adding oil when it's needed...by time the clutch died it was needing to be refilled on oil weekly.
Oh well.
New engine you can bet will get fancy royal purple and changed with a good filter semi-regularly (not every 3000 miles, but often enough).

My Accord is 10K between oil changes. I'll probably end up changing it at 5k becuase that many miles makes me nervous

Approaching 15k miles on the colt since I bought it, never changed the oil, only added mobil 1 15w-50 (the worst synth oil btw). Who knows how long before that it was ran. Just clicked over 183k last week. Fucker still runs, and I cant justify swapping the 4g63 in till the 4g15 pops. Meh.
