Just thought this would give some a laugh, others a warning.

3rd turbo down, exact copy. Actually you get MORE from ssauto - v-band assembly.

Intersting to note the 1st turbo, $325 for a Garrett/BMW turbo with Garrett box and Garrett tag.

that guy lives about two hours from me next time im on my way to dallas i should kick him in the nuts and steal the turbo from him becuase its never going to sell

i understand how they can use greddy style or garret style on CDM parts but i don;t know how they are able to use the name like that im sure they fool lots of stupid ppl who think they found a good deal

It's a diesel turbo.  I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't authentic.

There are a number of chinese turbo manufacturers that claim to manufacture garrett/honeywell turbochargers and use that as a selling point to their distribution chain. It's almost offensive. We get emailed all the time by manufacturers claiming to make x parts for a company. Sometimes even pictures & bills of lading proving it. Global economy = ouch for privacy.

I recall seeing an article in pop-sci or wired where it took a 3-d rendering machine that was confiscated in China to completely 3-d render a rolex in 3 minutes. 30 minutes for a "plastic printer" to make a 3-d part, and not a whole lot to make a casting die for it.

Now that I think about it, I remember xenoass talking about this with bosch fuel pumps. I wouldn't be surprised if that's 2/3 of his "genuine" products now, given his propensity to value money over almost everything else..
