ya that was me lol. cardboard works fine ive made a few throttle body gaskets from it as they are hard to get for some reason. Hell older v8s like the flat-head ford used tar coated rope for a rear main seal lol.
-
Rope seals are the worst invention ever. I helped my neighbor with enough pontiac 400 rebuilds to stay away.

Stuffing box on a boat = tighten ever day. Yeap, rope sucks.
-
I predict the cardboard become soggy at the water hole and possibly blowing air into the pipe during boost.

Fowee, I was joking when I said it would work!!!!!!
Thanks for the help tonight, I have a 3/4 clogged heater core.
To get it out requires pulling the dash.......well that will mean a perfect time to swamp in a Civic Dash right?????
-
older flat airplane engines use thread between the 2 case halves.
-
I am no stranger to Orange High Temp intake mani gaskets.
Pistol made my first one
-
I hate that orange copper gasket shit, IMO it's just a sign of failure.
-

This was for my 70hp cx motor. It will never see boost. I used honda bond around the coolant n egr holes. It's been in there for a week now, still holding...
-
Why even use a gasket if you have hondabond at hand
-
the thing to do for the coolant holes is to get a couple orings and lightly RTV them into the gasket. you might have to double up the gasket for the thickness of the o-rings though
-
does bisi know you stole the design of his heat shielding intake manifold gasket?
-
'Bisi has no idea what you are talking about.
