Anyone know if K series engines share the same size core plug as B and D series engines.
Looking to install a block heater this weekend if I can get my hands on one. It is looking like the dealer is the only place that I will be able to source one, and IU doubt they will have one in stock for a D16.

Go to the block heater manuf. website and look at the application section.
Could answer all your questions. ;D

Found a different route to take with one that goes into the lower radiator hose. Looks like I am picking one up this evening. I'm gonna install that shit at work tomorrow.
lol.
This one should actually fit when the turbo makes its way into the bay as well.

Hah! Took a little bit of digging, but I did find the answer in a manufacturer's catalog. They are indeed the same. 28 mm for pretty much all of the aluminum block engines.

lol, where i live in canada, it hardly EVER snows and its usually always above freezing....
BUT, since i work in the parts business and do lots of catalog maintenance, i happen to know this part number...
310 0006
give that to a NAPA and they should be able to find you a block heater that will thread into your blocks front coolant drain

WHY?????
-
I have so many of these around. I 'm going to fit one to the civic i think this winter.
-
WHY?????
I am not a fan of either waiting for my car to warm up for 20+ minutes or being cold for about 70% of the drive in the morning.
Single digit and low teens temps fucking suck.
-
it is nice not having to hear your car slow crank and finally start up, jut plug it in when it is really cold that night.
-
I just like having it for the simpleness of having a vehicle that start at all when it is -40 out.

Fuck that, if it got that cold I'd call in sick or move. I hate the cold like rhmt hates gay porn.

Thank god it's not that cold in ontario yet.
-
It is -28C (-18F) out right now with a nice steady 12km/h (7.5mph) wind, making it a stay inside, -38C (-36F) outside.
-
It's about -5 here with a 10km/h wind.

its cold enough here in va that my spitter was frozen solid in the garage this morning. i knocked it over on accident, but no harm done
-
I picked up one of the heaters that installs in the lower radiator hose, now that I think about it, I don't think it will work with a Honduh cooling system.
:-\
I may try it just to satisfy my own curiosity though.
