Title: Receipe: Avacado Turkey Burger
Post by: TheSylntChamber on March 22, 2009, 11:09:14 PM
Ok start with a pound of ground turkey:

Add:
1 Minced garlic clove
Some finely chopped onion ( you know how much you like so adjust to taste)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tbsp poultry season
About half a cup bread crumbs
Red pepper flakes to taste

Turkey has little fat so I put in about a tbsp of olive oil too.

Once all together will look like a bunch of scraps.

Mix it up and pat out your burgers.

Throw the nogs on the grill. I cooked them about 5 min on each side on mild heat. In the mean time I cut up the avocado and mixed it around in some lemon juice to keep it from browning. I took half the avocado and smashed it up. I then mixed in some salt, pepper, lemon juice, and mayo.

Burgers all cooked up:

Put some of your avocado spread on a Kaiser bun ( or whatever bun you want). Throw some romaine lettuce and onion on it. Red onion would be best, we only had white. Put a couple slices of the avocado on and enjoy. If you want mustard I would go with some dejon.

Does the turkey get dry as a grannies asshole like the frozen patties do?

Mayo, disgusting.

I only put in a little to make the spread, well spreadable and creamy.

Nope nogs were as juicy as a regular burger. Just don't over cook them.

As long as it isn't raw egg and oil, sure.
