Lawyer up and have a wad of cash.

This i got a drag racing ticket and fought it to district court with a lawyer and the city gave up and gave me a speed care required, cost $1000 but saved my ass on insurance as they would have dropped me.

dam right;

no lawyer: $300 ticket and fucked insurance and bad record

get a lawyer: $300 fee, good insurance, and a clean record so the judge cant fuck you if you decide to mitigate the next one.

in wa most lawyers just ask for discovery from the state, they know they wont get it, so you get off. if they do get it, the state is really fucking pissed at you.

i did this myself, didnt get shit but some lame thing saying that they test the speed radars from this company. i got to court he gave me the police write up to review. and i beat the ticket because it was pretty much bullshit. i was only goign 5 over when he supposibly radared me and i was inbetween two cars. at one point i was goign 10 over but not when he radared me but as he was pulling me over. cop was retarded and was trying to say i was racing my friend...it was really wierd  but im use to cops bullshitting me. i never did try the discovery thing again. i think ill have to find a lawyer next time and see if it works for him. because i always hear that it does. i just dont know quite what to do and judges like to fuck with you sometimes if you dont have a degree in lawyerism.but ive had my fair share of tickets and know how to work the system with bullshit tickets. the one time i really wished i went layer shoping is when i eluded the police. the family friend only did a ok job. fucking lazy ass only does plea bargins. and i should of known better. my record is getting off 3 tickets in one court day. 3 different occasions but i had them all on the same court date.

Not sure how well that would work, he paced me apparently. I was driving home from my friends on the freeway going maybe 70 and see a big ass suv in my rear view tailgating the shit out of me, which pisses me off so i speed up a little. He speeds up and keeps tailgating so i floor it and as soon as i do his lights come on. fucking pissed me off. normally im nice to cops but i was an asshole.

Have a buddy call in a fake robbery down the street from where you're pulled over. I've gotten out of a C&I this way... the robbery was real though, so I just got lucky. But I'm sure the same scenario could be manipulated.

Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. A normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow. But he won't know what to make of your blinker signal that says you are about to turn right. This is to let him know you're pulling off for a proper place to talk. It will take him a moment to realize that he's about to make a 180 degree turn at speed, but you will be ready for it. Brace for the g's, and fast heel-toe work.

^that only makes them mad^

the discovery thing is just your lawyer asking the state for all the paper work they have on your case. its a safe bet you'll get off because getting the dicovery would involve work on the part of the state and that almost never happens. i never done it myself but i see lawyers do it all the time, i dont know how they make the request but they probibley do it the day before the trial

like i stated previously i did this myself without a lawyer and all i got was some gay radar thing in the mail and at the court date the judge let me preview what the cop had writen down. i still got out of the ticket becuase of what i told the judge really happened. so pretty much you will need to get a lawyer to do it, unless you know how to work your judge over and what to say.

Ive been pulled over more times then i can remember, and usually they let me go, but i was a dick because he tailgated me which caused my speeding. After i got raped my first time at court for crashing into a police interceptor, i started looking into ways to fight tickets got out of 2 speeding tickets in court without a lawyer, had one deferred by trial by mail and have one speeding ticket on my record. Ive never been paced before so i'm unsure how to go with that. Im going to try to get the calibration records for his speedometer. anybody know what Suv's they use in pierce county, WA?

im not saying its a bad idea it just makes cops mad.

and a mad cop is a hungry cop.

its alot like a zombie movie, sure you can walk into the creepy warehouse at night, but im not following you to see what happens. on the plus side, if you make it out alive, you are a true badass and all three women on earth will want to have sex with you.

on the discovery thing:
every time i got a lawyer to do it for me i wasnt there (another benefit of a lawyer is you dont have to take off work just to give those fuckers your money anyway) but i saw them do it other times, they just have a written request for discovery (maybe notarized i dont know) the judge said he dosnt have it, then the lawyer motions for dismissal and thats it. the judge let them go before everyone else, it took like five minutes for all of them.

Last time I was pulled over was after I left my final probation meeting. I was happy, so I decided to be the 1st down the highway on-ramp. Unlucky for me was how the car next to me was an undercover cop. To make a long story short, he clocked me at 88mph, claimed he'd mail the ticket, never did. Even shorter: raced a cop and won twice...

The biggest pricks around here, Waukesha SHerriffs, are easy to get dropped because they never test their radar. A friend was doing 95+ in a 45 when the clocked him (110+ originally), was facing automatic license suspension because of it...and they had to throw it out when the lawyer asked for calibration data.

Most cops are cheap & lazy and only try to get the stupid people. Thats why you rarely see a BMW/Porsche/etc pulled over, they know they'll get a lawyer. Spending money calibrating shit is more costly than an occational ticket getting dropped. Defense lawyers FTW.

BTW that's a Fear & Loathing movie quote - what book did it come from??

Did you ask to see the radar gun?
I did on my speed contest ticket and he said I'm not allowed to step out of the vehicle at the moment...Got my license and registration
He came back with a ticket and I said you know I'm going to fight this

Needless to say I didnt get a attorney, showed up at prosecuters office day before court, showed her the ticket

LOL

He paced me, otherwise i would have. Thinking i should subpoena him, if he doesn't show it gets dismissed, if he does i ask when the speedometer was last calibrated, he cant provide the information, case gets dismissed.
