thanks ... is there an easy way to decode a mpeg-4 video file? ..this shit is being a pain in the ass

yea i already got the vlc player ...what im tryin to do is burn some movies to a disc through this usb dvd writer i got today ... the file is stored on my computer in mpeg-4 and the nero 8 it came with is just the basics and cant open this type of file ....if there a way to change the format (decode) the file save it then transfer to a disc ?

tried downloadin nero 9 but its just givin me security codes and a five page write up on how to do it ..... im a simple guy computers arn't my thing and will forever be a noob to this type of shit

use total video converter, havent found a file it wouldnt convert
