Title: Whats your garage look like?
Post by: RotaryGeek on January 01, 2010, 01:27:30 PM: I am always catching myself looking at people garage when i drive by and seeing how they have it set up. Its interesting to see how good/bad someones garage is. Mine isn't the best, but it gets every job i have had to do done.

Ya Know, thats odd I was thinking about making a post like this at about noon (not sure if this was up yet or not. Was out putting the exhaust, axles, new WB sensor and getting the slut ready to rape this week as were supposed to have a couple nice days.

Need to change the oil and filter, whell be back on the ground tomorrw.

There both my friends one is a vtec one the other is a non vtec one. Ill take some pic's tomorrow.

I built it for a backup over a year ago and I hope I don't have to use it for a few more years. I like having 2 of everything.

One of the garages is about to get turned into a full blown brewery. In the spring, I plan to paint everything and possibly coat the floors. Not sure yet. Also considering putting in a barrel wood burning stove.

Essentially, I have a over sized 2 car garage, with no cars to put in them. Until I can get a better paying job, or promoted at the one I have...no cars/toys for me. :(

initial start up can be expensive. -couple hundred bucks for decent stuff. basic starter kits run about 100 or so though.

I pulled a motor and put one in on plywood, it was alright. Better then in the dirt.

It is a bit late to do it here, but it would still come in handy other times during the year.

They very from industrial survive a hurricane models to the cheapest China special that will blow over if you fart to hard. It comes down to how much you want to spend. If you have level ground then throw some 3/4 to 1" plywood down for a floor if not on pavement etc.

Harbour freight engine hoist? I got one too. Barely lifted out a police interceptor v8 from my brothers crown vic.

Were you using the 1 ton model? The 2 ton should have no problem.

the house is behind the trees and its 2400sqft. the shop space is 3600 sqft not including the attached 2 car garage or the metal building in the back yard that i plan to use for storing my lawn mower and that sort of stuff.

Basically as soon as it gets 60+ deg outside and stays that way for a week or so, to get the epoxy down...it will get done. Until then, this takes up one of my garages.

Not to be a dick, but that's not exactly a good thing - noticing a stock looking F-body before anything else. Those are one of the worst non-drag racing driving experiences on the face of the planet, the bikes are fat old man cruisers with no soul, and your VW was made in the failure years. I'm tempted to get Robb to defraud an FSI/TSI engine for you to cobble into place so that you can actually enjoy the goddamn thing.
