Title: Today, my car started
Post by: BoostedSchemes on January 02, 2010, 08:48:10 PM
It actually started on the first crank, in about 0*F. Seat heaters and rear/front defrost worked a-ok. Car drove normally, shifting into each gear with no grinds. Parked at the grocery store, and restarted just fine 15 minutes later.

Is this what its like to have a normal car ???????

Wow.

Guess my forged d16 is slow since it fires up like that too. The turbo doesn't even smoke so it must be really slow. :mexi:

Seek a pro tune, and let them wire the car too if they think it has issues.

Mine start like a charm at any temp. I just drove 400km in a snow storm and shit is solid.

Boost and snow on the road is not a good idea tho...

Do tell.  I would have thought that because snow on the road is epic win, and boost is epic win, that you can't go wrong.  I'm still waiting until after winter though.

Only with low boost and awd. FWD foes from no power to no grip faster than your body can physically react.

Today my car started again. On my way to work the bottom shift linkage bitch pin fell out and my tranny is stuck in 3rd until I put a piece of wire through the linkage again. That's more like it.

Pretty much. I just woke up from a 3 hour nap and am going back to work 0000 til 0900... if I finish most of my shit early I'll fix it in the garage that I wont have to lay on my back in the snow. 1 forward gear is more than enough to get me there ><.

That's true.  My shit wouldn't even be drivable if I installed the turbo kit.  K03 turbo on a 2.2L engine = insta-spool.  I'd ruin my snowtires pretty quickly.  Meh, I'll just finish putting the kit together, and install it over spring break.
