Title: Zdyne Ecu Mod
Post by: clwtwizted on January 02, 2010, 09:37:18 PM
I just got a zdyne ecu 1 wire vtec with a purchase of a b16 head.  Can I take out the stock 28 pin eprom and socket and chip  and run turbo edit or Bre? Will I be able to change the vtec point If I can use Te or Bre?

Staying obd0 assumes you have an mpfi setup. That assumes you can use the pm6 ecu with TE or BRE. That infers that you can sell the zydine to another n00b that thinks a name brand > stock ecu.

Stay wednesday my friend...

I didnt buy the stuff for the ecu. i bought the head and the guy gave it to me. Im rocking a chipped pm6 in my crx right now, I just wasnt finding any info on the ecu and didnt know if was worth messing with. With the info I now know I will just pass it on and keep my pm6.

Zdyne modifies not just the ROM, but the RAM chip right below it so you can flash.  I think read/write lines are also cut.

I'd rock the Zdyne.  Very cool period piece, and stable.

So is it the same shit as TE one wire vtec? Does it use the ac out or does it use the pins for the pr3 vtec?

http://zdyne.com/ (http://zdyne.com/)

Play around with the real time flashable Zdyne before you do yourself the disservice of consuming large amounts of time chip burning with TE/BRE.
