regular decent iron and a small vacuum reduced to a gutted melted bic pen..
DONE!
-
1. Cut the bulb on you rs iron in half.
2. Tape your vacuum cleaner hose in the end of the bulb.
3. lay it on the pin you want to de-solder.
4. Let it melt.
5. turn on the vacuum...
6. turn off vacuum.
Repeat 3-6 27 times...
then send me a hooker n a pbr for saving you $164...

i use the hakko 808. Works great. Better than the bullshit copper braids. Especially on thin boards where the traces are easier to burn.

I used blundar's Xytronics desoldering station. I liked it, same build as my Aoyue SMD station just badge engineered.
