Post by: rudebwoy on January 04, 2010, 04:36:09 PM
I have a flux mig welder I am tired of it, is it possible to convert it to a gas mig?

If your flux welder was intended for an upgrade kit, it will work fine.

MIG conversion kits usually come with a regulator for the bottle, feed line, solenoid, and new gun/line to flow the gas.

flux works awesome on rusty exhaust pipes
mine has paid for itself 10 times over.
And besides if what your welding on is clean the weld comes out clean also

I don't like the booger welds, its not consistent, I only get good results on thin metal if I don't burn through it. when I use a gas welder I always get good results, as you know I like my stuff looking good, plus all metal on my setup is stainless steel or aluminum.

where can I buy the conversion kit? its a easy mig 125
