Joel has a thread from south moorhead so I'll make a thread north of west fargo. We're basically on completely opposite sides of the fargo moorhead area. He's getting hit by the red river. I'm getting hit by the sheyenne. At the time of me posting this we still have power and water. If we stay on the road and wear our waders we can get to our cars (waist deep). The ditch straight out in front of our house would be a few feet over my head. :)
Pictures of my area.
Parked on the highway waiting for our roads to flood over. Morning 3/25

is the source of the flooding, cascaids, snow caps, alot of f'in rain, OR THAT THE ,mexican border is back washed
-
the flooding in our area is a few things. Heavy rainfall this past fall, completely saturated ground when it froze (early freeze). SHIT TON of snow all winter. Followed by a fast thaw this spring.
-
It's kinda wild to see rising water under what looks to be a sheet of ice.
-
Why do you live there? I am not saying it isn't your right to live there, but I question why is all. For me I wouldn't want to worry about losing everything to a flood every few years. Hopefully you all recover quick
-
I hope it works out for you...i've been out sandbagging all week in South Fargo. A lot of the places seemed ok...Oakport was another story. Good luck
-
Thats not a deck anymore. Its a dock.

Its up here a bit as well, I didn't realize how much till today (I drive over it almost every day, just hard to see over the wall in the MR2), Don't know how bad the people living on the river are, I'll ask a friend of mine tomorrow.

you should go stick a sign out front and say "global warming is great"

Fuck your nasty ass weather. I still can't figure out why anybody in their right mind would want to live somewhere where it snows and floods at the same time.
Suit yourselves though, more room for me in the desert or on the beach.
-
Deserts can flood with minimal rainfall
Beach is the shit
-
And here I thought the 4 foot puddle at the end of my driveway was huge :?:

floods are for native americans
