Title: does this manifold exist/other place to buy it (not gay/stupid post)
Post by: speedjunky01 on August 01, 2010, 06:56:16 PM
i saw this cast manifold on ebay and i really like the design
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.auctiva.com%2Fimgdata%2F1%2F2%2F7%2F2%2F3%2F7%2F9%2Fwebimg%2F363014413_o.jpg%3Fnc%3D149&hash=b4ca026d784c5126b85ba700fd0e865581292639)
-good WG placement
-like how the turbo would be mounted a bit to the side would make a 3" dp fit much easier
-a good cheap alternative to a nice AC mini-ram,and better then the standard cast one

now the problem his feedback on the mani sucks, people are saying they are getting the "wrong" one so im thinking he is a scammer, anyone know of a place to get this manifold it looks real unless they did a one off to simply drap people in or it may be for a B?

my older brother bought the d16 turbo manifold..and its nothing like the one on the picture..just the one where the waist gate placed on just one runner..so he returned it back..

the reply i got from one of the users who left poor feedback

That looks like every other CDM cast manifold.

negative sir

note the 1st runner WG, turbo placed in the middle of the head, makes a 3" dp HARD

The first pic you posted is a B series, the second is a D. I have been involved in way too many cheap ass Honda builds

thanks for the help

What about this POS:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-CIVIC-T3-CAST-IRON-TURBO-MANIFOLD-D-D15-D16-CRX-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4151977e11QQitemZ280541756945QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-CIVIC-T3-CAST-IRON-TURBO-MANIFOLD-D-D15-D16-CRX-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4151977e11QQitemZ280541756945QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories)

Definately looks like a d-series, and it angles the turbine flange downwards for more DP clearance. It also angles the WG, along with it opening directly in the center.

This other mani looks decent, a greddy copy, except it has no WG port on it. You'd have to weld one on. It might also be T25, as that's what greddy uses for a flange:

This one looks like your best bet for mixing WG performance and A/C clearance, if that's what you're going for:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-B16-B18-CAST-TURBO-MANIFOLD-INTEGRA-CIVIC-B-T3-T4-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4151977e74QQitemZ280541757044QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-B16-B18-CAST-TURBO-MANIFOLD-INTEGRA-CIVIC-B-T3-T4-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4151977e74QQitemZ280541757044QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories)

This looks like the best WG placement, but its a bit pricey for ebay goods...

The first is deff a pos lol, the 2ndhas Bo ex gate :p once welding one on it would even the price out, the 3rd is for a b :(, the 4th has good wg placement but the turbo isn't angled or offset to help the dp fitment issue

No win situation with the d manifolds..... Wish someone would just make the b style mani woul make dp fab in 3" cake

I have the last one, the mani is on a angle up towards the hood so it has alot more room then you would think.

I know it's a long shot but look for an old drag manifold. they fit really good and can be had cheap.

Order 5000 dollars worth of cast manifolds from China and you can get one the way you like it. Im pretty sure the ebay guys are making like 5 bucks on those things after freight costs on those heavy fuckers from CDM land.

I'm rocking one of theese on my z6 and it seems to work real good. I've got a .70ar coldside and a 3" exhaust.

With ac?

no ac but my car never came with it, it appears it would clear an ac pump but I dont know about the condenser.

I think I'll snag the 3rd one hiprofile poste and be a test mule for it. I'll prob make a heatshield to hide how fucking ugly and weird it looks lol

I have the same one. Been rocking it for 3 years or so. Be ready for the wastegate to hit your hood. I plan to make a new wastegate elbow one of these days to fix that problem. It will also eliminate one bend in my dump tube.

I DD my vitara block with it at 300whp @15psi and it has seen 500+whp.

I thought I saw the usual 1st runner manifold on your build?

Think the spa would clear the condensor? I kinda doubt it

Also I just notched the hood web to clear the wg

No, for the power I had planned I wasn't gonna trust one of those. Then again, if it's tuned for the boost creep then it might have worked out. Ha ha.

It should clear the condenser but routing the DP is going to be tough. I will take a good straight down pic of mine when I get home from work in about 45min.

I was slackin. Saw my neighbor in his garage drinkin on my way home and stopped by to join him. Anyway, here are the pics

No amount of grinding of the hood will stop it from doing this unless you put a hole in the hood.

that manifold fits like garbage.

The solution is a tighter radius elbow with an extension to the left... $1.50 1.5" rigid 90 from ace hardware and 50 cents of pipe plus a flange.

Horizontal wg flanges with wg dp flange facing down as much as possible.  Rotate the bitch 45 to the radiator.  Bolt pipe to wg, wg to 90 bend pipe, bent pipe to mani.

Aka whoever designed that had a quarter of a brain.

My plan is to either make a new elbow and rotate the wastegate flange to point the exit of the wastegate down, or make a whole new manifold. I'm changing my plans somewhat with this car. I want something that drives more stock. 75.5mm vitaras to keep it quiet, FJ custom length rods to help the off boost power, mild regrind on the cam and maybe an hx35. I want power steering and a/c with 400whp on 93 octane, but drive as stock as possible.
